What can you expect from a Time to Think session?

Imagine your favourite body of water – Time to Think is like being alongside or immersed in that!

When you join me for a Time to Think session, you can expect something rare: space that is just for you. So often in life we’re interrupted, rushed, or pulled in many directions. Here, you’ll have the gift of being heard without judgement, without agenda, and without interruption.

My role is to listen with full attention – to create a calm, respectful atmosphere where your own thinking can flourish. You’ll have the time you need to follow your thoughts wherever they lead, and you may be surprised by the clarity and insight that surface simply because there is space to pause and reflect.

We begin with one question. This may be enough.

I may gently offer further questions that open new waves of thinking, but your mind will always choose the desired direction. This isn’t about me giving you answers; it’s about you discovering the depth and wisdom of your own mind.

Clients often tell me they leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more confident in their next steps. Sometimes it’s a breakthrough, sometimes it’s a small shift – but always it comes from the power of your own independent thinking.

A Time to Think session with me is an invitation: to slow down, to be heard, and to uncover what really matters to you. It is about creating a respectful, thoughtful environment where you can access your best thinking and make choices with clarity and confidence.

FAQ

What are ‘The Ten Components’ in Time to Think?

They are Attention, Equality, Ease, Appreciation, Encouragement, Feelings, Information, Difference, Incisive Questions, Place. You can read more about them at timetothink.com

What might I find challenging about Time to Think?

I would suggest there are two: we are so unused to being interrupted that the attention without interruption can be quite strange. We are also unused to silence, but as you might be thinking well in the silence, I won’t interrupt you. This is unusual to experience too.

What have others said about a Time to Think with you?

Time to Think – Fiona was brilliant in helping me separate and truly look at my thoughts in making a major decision. I had tried doing this unsuccessfully by myself, but having the Time to Think Sessions, really took the thought process to the next level in a way doing a pros and cons list didn’t. Fiona listening helped me reach my decision and be confident in the choice being the right one. Thank you Fiona.

Fiona created a magical warm, safe and clear space for my feelings to pour out, my thoughts to unfold, and my new ideas to emerge. There is power in silence, there is power in hearing our words echoed by another person. Fiona allowed me to be, to voice my doubts about my professional direction, and to answer these questions.

I’ve decided to continue our coaching relationship so that I can continue to challenge myself to keep growing and developing my communication and connection skills. This type of coaching is harder to describe as it deals with overcoming blocks and using “Time to Think” sessions to help me think through a project or particular challenge.

It has been my delight to be in a small ‘peer coaching’ group with Fiona for the last two years and have also benefitted from a number of 1:1 “thinking sessions”. Fiona’s enthusiasm and passion is inspiring, she is a patient and active listener and always has an insightful and challenging question to ask that encourages and provokes deeper reflection. As someone who is generally busy dashing around ‘doing stuff’, having the opportunity to simply ‘think aloud’ in the relaxed and supportive environment that Fiona creates cannot be underestimated.
